Cue the guitar riffs and raspy solos, because Jonny Lang is about to be music to your ears! This 36 year old has already has a successful career for TWO DECADES. Jonny released his first platinum record when he was just 15 years old!
What began as a bluesy sound, influenced by electric pioneers like Albert Collins, B. B. King, and Buddy Guy, evolved over those recordings into a modern R&B style closer to Stevie Wonder and contemporary gospel music. Lang’s distinctive, blues-inflected licks appeared on every album, but became one element in a sea of passionately sung and tightly arranged songs.

Whether you’re talking vocals or instrumental ability, guitarist Rickey Godfrey brings an excitement to the stage we don’t often experience. His music is known for its gritty soul sound, frequently featuring the multi-talented artist on both guitar and keys. Godfrey is considered to be one of Nashville's premier blues guitarists.
Godfrey brings an electrifying blend of hot rockin' blues and hip-shakin' soul to every performance. Blind since birth, he started studying classical piano and voice at the age of seven, while attending the South Carolina School for the Blind, and, at age 13, began playing guitar as well. "Because I was a keyboard player first, I have a real insight into chord triad formations and their inversions, " he says. "I also have a thorough understanding of harmonic progression and the most commonly used series of chords."

After growing up in South Georgia, the son of a Southern Baptist preacher, Jim witnessed some of the best performances anyone had laid eyes on. My intention as an artist is to meld these types of performing and storytelling and bring good ol’ Southern tales to the theatre.
Jim holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Georgia. He performed “Cemetery Golf” at the Cincy Fringe where it received a “Critic’s Pick” from the CityBeat, and has also performed at the United Solo Festival (NY), Solofest (Albuquerque), Boulder Fringe, Oahu Fringe and San Francisco Fringe. It has also had successful runs at the Drilling Company (New York) and the Electric Lodge (Venice, CA), among others.
